History Photographed on Instagram: "On April 15, 1912, the RMS Titanic sank after striking an iceberg, resulting in the loss of more than 1,500 lives. ⁠ ⁠ The youngest survivor was Elizabeth Gladys “Millvina” Dean, who was just nine weeks old at the time of the disaster. ⁠ ⁠ In 1997, Dean appeared on the BBC children’s program Blue Peter following the release of James Cameron’s film Titanic, where she shared her family’s experience of being third-class passengers and their escape in Lifeboat 10.
